Clone a Test

Elizabeth Quispe -

The Clone Test feature simplifies the process of iterating on your tests. Clone a completed test and easily change a variable, such as a new audience or a new design. This will trigger reuse of the same questions from the original test, just substituting the new variable. This allows you to review test-over-test impact and can be used for benchmarking purposes.

Here's how it works:

  1. Open an existing test and scroll to the Related Tests box.
  2. Click on "Clone Test."
  3. In the pop-up box that will appear, you can select a new audience* or upload a new stimulus.**
  4. After you hit the "Submit" button, a new test will be launched that duplicates the questions from the existing test, replacing the new variable.

*Audiences must be defined at the Experiment level. You will only be allowed to clone a test and apply an existing audience already created in your Experiment.

**As a best practice, Alpha recommends changing one stimulus in a cloned test.
